Ramona Mitrica, director of Profusion, took part in a presentation held by historian Lord Thomas of Swinnerton, on the subject of The Transylvanian Trilogy by Miklos Banffy.
During the event of Saturday 1 June 2013, Lord Thomas spoke about the three volumes to a select audience of Transylvanian specialists. The event took place at the home of Jessica Douglas-Home, chairman of The Mihai Eminescu Trust, a charity dedicated to the conservation and regeneration of villages and communes in Transylvania and the Maramures.
In preparation for writing the introduction to the Everyman’s edition, Lord Thomas stayed at the Trust’s Apafi Manor in order to understand the valleys, forests, castles and the way of life depicted in the Trilogy. For the benefit of the audience, Ramona Mitrica placed the book in a Romanian context.
